Frequently Asked Questions

How will I be able to administer my domain account?

Once your domain account is set up, you will be able to log in to our administration console (second to last button on your left-hand side), where you will be able to make modifications to your e-mail, ftp, and subdomain setup.

Upon registration, new customers are e-mailed a welcome package, which explains the usage of your new account features in extensive detail.

What about e-mail?

When you register a domain account with us, you are given the option to specify a default set of e-mail accounts. After your account is activated, you will be able to modify (add/remove etc.) e-mail accounts through the use of our administration console.

In addition to standard POP/IMAP e-mail clients, you are able to retrieve your e-mail from any web browser! (* available with certain hosting plans only * Complete access instructions are provided in our welcome package)

Will I be able to use Microsoft Frontpage to upload my web site?

Since Frontpage extensions use server resources, pose an additional security risk to your domain account, and tend to often exhibit problems, they are not activated by default. Although we recommend that you use a standard FTP client to upload your web pages, Frontpage extensions can be activated(free of charge), upon a customers request. (*for specified hosting plans only, please see the services page for more information*)

Will I be able to use custom CGI applications?

Yes, a cgi-bin directory is created by default with all new business domain accounts, and is granted executable priveleges. However, we reserve the right to disable CGI's which are found to use excessive server resources, malfunction, pose a security risk, or disturb service in any way.

How about Perl and ASP?

ASP scripts are enabled (by default), in all directories. Our servers also run the latest version of ActiveState Perl (executable from the cgi-bin directory).

What about bulk mail?

For reasons that are simply too numerous to list, it is STRICTLY prohibited.
